Animals at the Star Mountain Jungle Lodge
Our private nature reserve next to Cabo Blanco National Park makes for excellent
wildlife watching. As the animals on our property are undisturbed, you will probably see more wildlife at Star Mountain than in the national park itself. Within this area live such species as Ocelots, Margay Cats, Jaguarundis, Jaguars, Capuchin Monkeys, Howler Monkeys, the tiny little Kinkajou the collared anteater and many other mammals.
Bird lovers will delight in the large variety of species to be found in the area. Lots of woodpeckers, parakeets, herons, hummingbirds, parrots and many more. The staff of Star Mountain Jungle Lodge started identifying various species and have kept a list on this site for you to download in PDF format (see link below).
Once you've arrived you'll begin to see why all these animals enjoy staying around the ecolodge. There is such a variety of fresh fruits growing in our vast fruit garden it attracts all sorts of birds and other wildlife to the vicinity of the Lodge. Drop by and be spoiled along with the Jungle guests we attract. They are waiting to see you too... |
