How to get to the Jungle Lodge:

Star Mountain is located in Mal Pais on the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica on the southern tip of the Nicoya Peninsula.

Driving:

From San Jose drive to Puntarenas where you take the ferry to Paquera, across the Gulf of Nicoya.

From Paquera drive west through Tambor and Cobano to Mal Pais.

At the Mal Pais /Santa Teresa intersection take a left into Mal Pais. At Mary's restaurant take a left and drive 2 km on the jungle road towards Cabuya. After crossing two creeks the hotel will be on your right.

Transfers to and from San Jose or other areas in Costa Rica can be arranged. We can also book a rental car for you.
 

Flying:

Fly into Tambor airport, a 25 minute flight from San José. There are several daily flights with:

We can arrange for a taxi or rental car to pick you up at the airport and bring you to Star Mountain.
